In Krasnodar, two teenagers were detained for setting fire to a transport infrastructure facility at a railway station. This was announced on August 8 by the press service of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"In July 2025, minors set fire to a transport infrastructure facility at the Loris railway station of the North Caucasus Railway in the Karasunsky inner-city district of Krasnodar, Krasnodar Territory, destabilizing the railway's activities. <...> The suspects were promptly identified and detained," reads a message posted on the Telegram channel.

The ministry clarified that teenagers born in 2008 and 2010 were promised a monetary reward for setting fire to the station. It was an unknown person who communicated with them in one of the messengers.

It is noted that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is investigating a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). The suspects gave statements in which they confessed to the crime.

On August 5, a criminal case was opened in the Tula region on the fact that two 17-year-old teenagers set fire to a relay cabinet at the Aleksin railway station. It is clarified that a criminal case has been opened against paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Sabotage"). The teenagers acted on the instructions of third parties, according to preliminary information, from the Ukrainian special services.
