The expert named the average discount for a new car in Russia

Currently, the average discount for new cars in Russia is 100-300 thousand rubles. This opinion was shared on August 8 by Nikolai Ivanov, Director of the New Car Sales Department at Rolf.

"The discount rate, on average, ranges from 100 to 300 thousand rubles," he told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the discount programs have not changed significantly at the moment. Ivanov added that discounts can be transferred to one or another model within brands, which provides targeted sales incentives for certain models.

It is specified that the future fate of such programs will depend on demand, and due to the reduction of the key rate by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to 18% per annum at the last meeting, further growth in the volume of the new car market is expected.

Ivanov also expressed the opinion that as early as September of this year, the indicators will allow distributors to gradually reduce discount programs, and remove some altogether. He stressed that everything depends on demand.

On August 5, the analytical agency Autostat reported to Izvestia that 120,649 new passenger cars were sold in Russia by the end of July 2025, which is 11.4% less than in July 2024. Autostat also said that in the first seven months of 2025, 651,029 new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 23.9% less than in January —July last year.
