"After the announcement of a special warning about heavy rain in the city of Kirishima, Kagoshima Prefecture <... An "emergency security check" was announced for 63.1 thousand households and 122.4 thousand people throughout the city," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, Kagoshima also issued an "emergency danger warning" to 328 households and 643 local residents.

The Times of India newspaper reported on August 5 that four people were killed and 50 were missing after a mudflow hit the village of Dharali in the northern state of Uttarakhand in India. It is noted that units of the national and state disaster response Forces (NDRF, SDRF) have already been sent to the affected areas to conduct search and rescue operations.
