WWII-era aerial bomb defused in North Ossetia
In the Mozdoksky district of the Republic of North Ossetia, an aircraft bomb weighing 100 kg has been defused since the Great Patriotic War (WWII). This was announced on August 8 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in its Telegram channel.
"In Mozdok district, such a find was discovered by ploughmen. <...> Specialists eliminated a 100—kilogram aerial bomb by detonation," the report said.
Earlier, on June 10, employees of the Rosgvardiya directorate for the Sverdlovsk region destroyed a shell from the Great Patriotic War (WWII) in the vicinity of Sysert. Local residents reported the munition-like object to the centralized security service, after which a non-departmental security crew went to the site, which cordoned off the territory and ensured the safety of citizens during the work.
