The Russian Ambassador announced an increase in imports of Russian fertilizers in Brazil

In 2025, the trend towards the development of trade and economic relations between Russia and Brazil continues, as evidenced by the stable and reliable supply of Russian mineral fertilizers to Brazil. The Russian Ambassador to Brazil Alexey Labetsky told Izvestia about this.

"Russian fertilizer supplies continue to grow, with imports increasing by 32% to $2 billion in the first six months of this year. According to the latest published statistics, domestic mineral fertilizers account for more than 30% of the total Brazilian imports in this sector," the diplomat said.

The trade turnover between Russia and Brazil in January-June 2025 amounted to $5.8 billion. Brazil's imports amounted to $5.1 billion, and Russia ranked fifth in the list of Brazil's largest importing countries, with a share of 3.7% of the total, the ambassador stressed.
