A possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump may give an impetus to cooperation between the parliaments of the Russian Federation and the United States, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky told Izvestia.

"Of course, yes, but let's not get ahead of ourselves," he said.

Leonid Slutsky said he was ready to receive American congressmen in Russia.
