- More than 70 km of gas pipelines have been built and reconstructed in Moscow since the beginning of the year.
Since the beginning of 2025, more than 70 km of gas pipelines have been built and reconstructed in Moscow. This was announced on Thursday, August 7, at the municipal economy complex.
Pyotr Biryukov, Deputy Mayor for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping, noted that the capital is a leader among regions in updating utility networks, which ensures reliable and safe gas supply and reduces the wear of communications. 72 km of pipelines have already been updated this year.
According to him, Mosgaz JSC uses a combined method of laying — open and trenchless, which is especially important in conditions of dense construction. The diagnosis of the condition of the networks is carried out by non-destructive testing devices, and Russian-made materials and equipment are used during construction, Moscow 24 notes.
The installation of shut-off devices is also continuing, allowing to remotely shut off the gas supply in one and a half minutes, the Moscow City News agency reports.
