American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk announced on August 7 that a new model of artificial intelligence (AI) from xAl Grok-5 will be released by the end of this year.

"Grok 5 will be released before the end of this year, and it will be incredibly good," he wrote on the social network X.

The publication was a response to the news from the Tech Dev Notes website, which reported that after testing AI models, Grok-4 is considered a better neural network than GPT-5.

Earlier that day, it was reported that OpenAI had introduced a new generation of its neural network, GPT—5, thanks to which users would receive more accurate reasoning. During the presentation, the developers assured that the updated version of the neural network is equipped with extended long-term memory and gives errors in responses much less often. It is noted that GPT-5 will be available to all ChatGPT users, but the number of requests for free users will be limited.
