The Lazarevsky district court of Sochi fined 11 people who staged a "naked swim" on the city beach. This was announced on Thursday, August 7, by the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory.

"On August 6, five women and six men, being in a public place, namely on the beach, where there were other people besides them, were swimming in the sea completely naked," the ships' Telegram channel says.

Their actions were regarded as a clear disrespect for society and moral values. In court, all the participants in the incident admitted their guilt and expressed remorse.

The court found them guilty under Part 1 of Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Minor hooliganism") and imposed an administrative fine of 1,000 rubles on each.

On July 14, lawyer Ilya Rusyaev reported that finding citizens in bathing suits in places unrelated to bodies of water could be regarded as non-compliance with the norms of public morality and result in a fine or arrest.
