- In Ukraine, they announced a small percentage of citizens who are ready to return from abroad
The majority of Ukrainians who went abroad will stay there, only 10% will return back. This was announced on August 7 by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Nina Yuzhanina.
"I'm sure that, well, maybe ten percent of those who couldn't accept that country to the end won't stay there, the rest will stay," she said in an interview with the Superposition YouTube channel.
According to her, such indicators are due to the fact that in Ukraine there are big problems with the judicial system, the protection of the inviolability of property, as well as with the possibilities of "proving one's case."
"People will not return to a country where you can be robbed, where everything can be taken away from you, where law enforcement agencies can do anything to you, and they are always right," she concluded.
The Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) newspaper on June 8 pointed out the inability of the European Union (EU) to resolve the issue of refugees from Ukraine. According to the newspaper, since the beginning of the conflict, about 4.3 million Ukrainians have received temporary protection status in EU countries, the European Commission has proposed to extend it again, until 2027, although this status is usually valid only for three years.
In January, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky, who is in a Ukrainian pre-trial detention center on suspicion of treason, said that the population of Ukraine could decrease to 21-24 million people. According to Dubinsky, Ukraine has become 10 million fewer people.
