The UAE President discussed cooperation in space and energy with Putin

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussed with Russian leader Vladimir Putin during talks in Moscow the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the economy, trade, investment, space and energy. This was reported on August 7 by the WAM news agency.

"His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and His Excellency Putin reviewed the progress in cooperation between the UAE and Russia, in particular in the fields of economy, trade, investment, space and energy, as well as in other areas," the material says.

According to the agency, issues related to other areas that are focused on developing and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries were also discussed.

On the same day, the President of the United Arab Emirates, at a meeting with the Russian leader, said that the volume of trade between Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had reached $11.5 billion. In addition, he expressed hope for a doubling of trade between the two countries over the next five years. In addition, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that mutual investments between the countries are growing.

The Russian leader, in turn, called the UAE a friendly country, relations with which the Russian Federation attaches great importance. Putin noted that humanitarian cooperation between the states is also at a good level, including in the field of education.
