More than 10 million rubles will be allocated for the protection of Polar Dawn schools

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Murmansk region is planning to allocate more than 10 million rubles for the protection of educational institutions. The money will come from the government's reserve fund.

The relevant draft resolution is posted on the Open Electronic Region portal. The document will be discussed until August 15.

They want to use the funds to purchase security alarms in four Polar Dawn schools. We are talking about Gymnasium No. 1, Secondary School No. 3, Secondary School No. 4 and Secondary School No. 1.

According to Bi-port, the agency must report on the expenditure of funds by November 30, 2025.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that security guards at schools will be required to have weapons, wear body armor and helmets, depending on the situation in the region. Rosstandart has approved amendments to GOST, which is mandatory for educational institutions that hire private security companies through public procurement.
