Von der Leyen discussed steps with Zelensky to resolve the conflict in Ukraine

On August 7, the President of the European Commission (EC) discussed with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky steps towards a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and the country's accession to the European Union (EU).

"We discussed further steps towards a peace agreement, Ukraine's future membership in the European Union and its restoration," the politician wrote on her page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
