Slovakia has declared the ineffectiveness of the West's strategy towards Russia

The strategy of Western countries aimed at defeating Russia has failed. This was announced on August 7 by Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar.

"The strategy that Western countries, primarily the global West within the framework of the European Union, together with the United Kingdom, and then the United States, developed for themselves, <...> arguing that Russia's defeat is a basic principle, proved to be untenable. It is necessary to unconditionally support all peace initiatives," the head of Slovak diplomacy said on the TA3 TV channel.

Blanard stressed that Slovakia supported both Chinese and Brazilian initiatives, and the diplomat personally participated in the peace summit in Switzerland. In addition, Bratislava will support US President Donald Trump in his efforts to continue negotiations.

"The conflict has already reached a very advanced stage, and it is difficult to find a compromise. But it is necessary to look for him, and I am glad that the Czech Republic, represented by President Petr Pavel, realized that this conflict has no military solution," he added.
