In the Kursk region, three people were killed in a collision between a passenger car and a diesel locomotive at a railway crossing in the Kurchatov district. This was reported on August 7 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region.
It is noted that the accident occurred on the Kursk—Lgov—Rylsk—Ameria highway. According to the agency, at an unregulated crossing, the driver of a Lada Granta car collided with a diesel locomotive.
"As a result of the accident, the driver of the Lada Granta vehicle, as well as passengers born in 2002 and 2003, died from their injuries at the scene of the accident, the passenger born in 1998 was injured and taken to a medical facility," TASS quoted a statement.
All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established.
Earlier that day, a truck collided with a car on the 387th km of the Moscow-Arkhangelsk highway in the Vologda region. As a result of the incident, four people were killed.
