In the Amur region, a woman lost almost 2.5 million rubles due to fraudsters. The police have opened a criminal case.

According to the victim, she needed legal services in May. She found an ad on the Internet and left a request on the website. Soon, a stranger called back to a resident of Blagoveshchensk, who introduced himself as a lawyer.

During the conversation, the interlocutor began to extort money under various pretexts. The woman carried out the transfers for several weeks, writes IA PriamurMedia.

The criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on an especially large scale").

In Sochi, a 28-year-old woman gave more than 5 million rubles to fraudsters. The victim agreed to transfer the funds to "secure" accounts.
