An acacia tree bloomed in Lipetsk for the second time this summer. An unusual phenomenon was noticed by an eyewitness in the Universitetskiy microdistrict, GOROD48 reported on Thursday, August 7.

The usual flowering time of acacia in the region is late May-early June. According to biologist Sergey Glazinov, due to temperature fluctuations, plants can bloom outside of hours.

"They may feel stressed, disoriented. Remember, at the beginning of summer, it was cold first, then hot? In late summer and autumn, plants are often reported blooming at the wrong time," the specialist explained.

As Glazinov noted, late blooming is harmful to plants. After July 15, they begin to prepare for winter, stop growing and lay the buds for the next season.

The biologist recalled that last spring, due to frosts, a stone fruit crop was predicted, but it turned out to be gorgeous. The expert suggested that this could happen due to the warm weather in August-September 2024 and the plants were able to prepare well for wintering.
