The farewell ceremony for sports commentator Alexander Grishin, who died in the Moscow region, took place on August 7 in Moscow.
The farewell was attended by relatives, friends, colleagues, athletes and coaches.
Grishin began his career on television in 2002 and has worked on the channels 7TV, Sport, Match TV and Channel One. He commented on figure skating, worked at several Olympic Games, as well as at the world and European football championships, adds Sport-Express.
Grishin's death became known on August 5. His wife Anastasia reported that the man died in an accident on a railway platform in Podolsk in heavy rain.
The next day, it became known that law enforcement agencies were not planning to open a criminal case into the death of the commentator. In their opinion, the death occurred as a result of injury by an electric train and is not of a criminal nature. Alcohol was not found in the blood of the commentator.
