Passenger train and truck collided in Ulyanovsk region
A passenger train collided with a truck in the Ulyanovsk region. This was reported on August 7 in the press service of the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"At a railway crossing located on the stage of the Obamza Checkpoint station in the Melekessky district of the Ulyanovsk region, a truck collided with a passenger train," the department's Telegram channel said.
No injuries were reported.
They added that the prosecutor's office is currently checking compliance with railway safety requirements.
On August 4, a source from Izvestia reported that an accident with a tour bus had occurred in the Leningrad Region. Later, the press service of the Oktyabrskaya Railway stated that the departure of the tour bus on the way in front of the approaching train caused an accident at the crossing. As a result of this incident, one person was killed and 16 others were injured.
