A resident of St. Petersburg told about her condition after a carsharing accident
Svetlana Vakhromova, a resident of Krasny Selo in St. Petersburg, who was injured in a carsharing accident, lost consciousness for a while after being hit. On August 7, the woman told Izvestia from the hospital.
"I came to the bus stop, the bus had just left. I went inside the bus stop. I got up and watched the bus as it moved. And he flew into my back, so I didn't see or even hear him. I woke up when I just heard a scream: "Help!". I open my eyes and I'm on my knees in the glass partition, trying to get up, but I can't get up," she shared.
Svetlana added that she managed to notice the driver, who tried to leave the scene.
"He screamed inside the car, kicked down the door, sat down, sat by the car, also shouted: "Help!", then jumped up and ran towards the church. And there were already emergency workers there, and they went after him," the victim said.
The woman said that she was diagnosed with bruises, a laceration of the hip and a compression fracture of the spine.
"They did an MRI scan, my head seems fine, it's fine. We checked inside, too, more or less. I got off easy," she concluded.
Earlier that day, it was reported that in Krasnoye Selo, a 35-year-old driver lost control while driving a rented Kia Rio car and ran into a bus stop on Lenin Avenue where two women were staying. One of them died. The driver was detained and taken to the police station. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.
