Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva plans to contact the leaders of India and China to outline a joint BRICS response to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on August 7.

"Lula said that he is initiating a conversation in the BRICS group of developing countries on how to deal with Trump's tariffs," the material says.

The Brazilian president will contact Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then Chinese President Xi Jinping to understand how each country is coping with the situation and what consequences await them.
