Namin's stepson's arrest in the double murder case was extended until January 1.
Roman Tkachenko, the stepson of rock musician Stas Namin (real name is Anastas Mikoyan), was arrested in connection with the murder of his brother and grandmother until January 1, 2026. This was reported on August 7 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Moscow Regional Court.
The person involved is in a psychiatric clinic in Sevastopol, the examination is scheduled for September 1. He participated in the court session via video link.
Tkachenko's defense insisted on a milder measure of restraint, unrelated to detention, due to the psychological state of the defendant.
"I don't care anymore, the remnants of my will are running out. Prison is the greatest punishment that a court can give," the accused said while waiting for the judge's announcement. He also noted that he sees no point in appealing the court's ruling.
The bodies of Namin's mother-in-law and his 30-year-old son Artyom with multiple stab wounds were found on the night of October 19, 2023 in their house in Kryukovo. It was noted that a dispute arose between the relatives over the sale of the house. During the conflict, the grandson killed his grandmother, after which he called his 30-year-old brother, confessed to what he had done, and when he arrived at the scene, Roman dealt with him. Then the criminal called the police and reported what he had done. The suspect was promptly detained.
