In the north-west of Moscow, a Gazelle driver was detained for using violence against a government official. This was reported on August 7 in the press service of the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the capital.

According to the investigation, on August 5, an attacker in a Gazelle car was stopped by law enforcement officers, but when asked to show documents, the person involved started moving and hit a police officer, after which he disappeared.

Currently, the driver has been detained, and video clips confirming his illegal actions have been seized. In the near future, he will be charged and a preventive measure will be chosen, the department said. A criminal case is being investigated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Use of violence against a government official").

On July 26, it was reported that in Nefteyugansk, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO), two local residents attacked police officers.
