Ministry of Defense: 82 Ukrainian drones shot down over the regions of the Russian Federation overnight

Last night, Russian air defense systems detected and destroyed 82 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on August 7 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"From 23:30 Moscow time on August 6 to 06:10 Moscow time on August 7, 82 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed and intercepted by air defense systems on duty," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that most of the drones were neutralized over the Sea of Azov (31 units). Drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were also destroyed over the Republic of Crimea (11), Rostov Region (10) and Krasnodar Territory (9).

According to the Ministry of Defense, 8 UAVs were eliminated over the Black Sea, 7 in the Volgograd Region, 4 in the skies over the Belgorod region, and one each over the Kursk and Orel regions.

On August 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems destroyed 51 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of Russia overnight. According to the department, 16 drones were eliminated over the territory of the Rostov and Bryansk regions, 12 over the Republic of Crimea. Five more drones were shot down in the sky over the Voronezh region and three over the Oryol region.
