Deputy Bograteon was sentenced to six years in a penal colony in the Kamchatka Territory.

In the Kamchatka Territory, Leonid Bograteon, a deputy of the Assembly of Deputies and former deputy head of the Yelizovsky urban settlement, was found guilty of corruption crimes and sentenced to six years in a penal colony. This was announced on August 7 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SU TFR) for the region.

"The evidence collected by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia was recognized by the court as sufficient to convict the deputy of the Assembly of Deputies of the Yelizovsky urban settlement. He was found guilty of abuse of office <...> and embezzlement of budget funds," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that in the period from March to September 2024, the accused issued illegal orders, on the basis of which he committed embezzlement of budget funds. As a result of his actions, the budget of the Yelizovsky urban settlement of the Kamchatka Territory suffered damage in the amount of more than 1 million rubles.

A criminal case was opened on this fact under paragraph "e" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of official authority committed out of another personal interest") and part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Embezzlement or embezzlement on an especially large scale").

At the moment, the verdict has not yet entered into force.

Earlier, on August 5, Lopatiev, the former head of the Navy's radio engineering service, was sentenced to nine years in a penal colony in a bribery case. It is noted that Lopatiev received large-scale bribes totaling over 8 million rubles during the specified period of time. In this case, the court sentenced Lopatiev to nine years in prison to be served in a high-security penal colony, as well as a fine of 16.5 million rubles.
