The number of pensioners in Russia has become known

In Russia, as of July 1, 2025, the number of pensioners was almost 41 million people. This became known on August 7 from the data of the Social Fund system of the Russian Federation.

Thus, the total number of Russians registered in the Pension and Social Insurance Fund system was 40,811,900, RIA Novosti found out.

At the beginning of the year, the number of pensioners was almost 41.2 million people.

It is specified that at the same time, 7.6 million Russian pensioners continue to work. 2.3 million people receive a disability pension in the Russian Federation, and almost 1.45 million are considered recipients of survivor's benefits.

Starting in 2026, the Russian Federation wants to give tax incentives to businesses that contribute to long-term savings of employees.

On August 2, State Duma deputy from the United Russia party Alexei Govyrin said that in 2025, unemployed citizens will receive a pension of at least 15,000 rubles, due to the appointment of a federal social supplement. He stressed that the state provides comprehensive support to all its senior citizens.
