Chinese Ambassador announces talks between Russia and China in New York in September

Russia and China will hold talks at the high-level week of the UN General Assembly in September, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui told Izvestia.

"There is such a tradition — our delegations and heads of delegations meet at the UN site. Always. <...>. It's the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. There will definitely be a meeting," the ambassador said.

The 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly will open on September 9 in New York, and the general debate will begin two weeks later.
