One person was killed and four injured in an accident in the Sverdlovsk region.

In the Sverdlovsk region, one person was killed in an accident and four others were injured. This was announced on August 6 by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the region in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that for an unknown reason, the driver of the VAZ-2114 drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Haval car.

"As a result of the accident, the passenger of the VAZ-2114, a man born in 2003, a resident of the city of Verkhnyaya Salda, died at the scene before the arrival of an ambulance. A Haval passenger, as well as the driver and two passengers of the VAZ-2114, were hospitalized in a medical facility in Nizhny Tagil," the statement said.

The accident occurred on 37 km of the Nizhny Tagil–Nizhnyaya Salda highway. Traffic police officers and operational services are working at the scene.

"Procedural actions are being carried out on the fact of the incident, examinations have been appointed. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues," the department said.

Earlier that day, four adults and a child were injured in an accident involving six cars on the Kavkaz highway in the Leskensky district of Kabardino-Balkaria. All the injured were taken to a medical facility, there is no threat to their lives.
