The expert named a way to identify a fraudster by correspondence
Cybersecurity expert Alexey Rayevsky said that only one well-formulated question will help to uncover fraudsters in correspondence.
In conversation with aif.ru On Wednesday, August 6, the expert recommended to remain vigilant on the Internet and not to trust the messages at their word. He noted that even if the message comes from a friend's number, it's better to double—check - for example, to ask a question that only a real person can know the answer to, not a fraudster.
The expert emphasized that reasonable doubt is better than falling into a trap. He also added that it doesn't hurt to be a little paranoid online.
Earlier in the day, the head of Kaspersky GReAT in Russia, Dmitry Galov, said that the fascination with voice messages in messengers threatens users with the loss of personal data, writes 360.ru . According to him, modern technologies make it possible to clone a person's voice in just a few phrases, NSN notes.
Also on August 6, Yuri Silaev, head of the laboratory of trusted artificial intelligence at RTU MIREA, warned in an interview with RT about the risks of data leakage when creating digital avatars. According to him, in order to minimize potential risks, it is worth taking a particularly careful approach to choosing a service for creating an avatar.
At the same time, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, said that after transferring personal data to fraudsters, a person has one "golden hour" to minimize the consequences of what happened. In particular, when transferring bank card data, it is necessary to change the password, access code to the banking service, and then freeze the card and accounts.
On August 4, experts from the Regional Public Center for Internet Technologies (ROCIT) said that fraudsters, trying to extort money from people, are playing on trust. To avoid scammers, it is important to remain vigilant: do not follow questionable links and do not download files without checking, even if the topic seems interesting, IA Regnum reports.
