Almost half of the planned road sections have been repaired in the Rostov region this year, said Deputy Governor of the region, Minister of Transport Alena Belikova.

"According to the results of the first half of the year, out of 500 facilities, work has already been completed at 208 facilities with a total length of more than 250 km. Of these, 14 are objects of regional significance and 194 are of local significance," said the deputy governor.

In total, about 860 km of roads are planned to be repaired in 2025, including under the national Infrastructure for Life project. 32 billion rubles are provided for the work.

Belikova added that the region also plans to complete the repair of seven bridges in the fall. They will be updated in Bagaevsky, Veselovsky, Dubovsky, Zimovnikovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Peschanokopsky districts. Government contracts have been concluded for a total amount of 332 million rubles.

The Deputy Governor also spoke about the construction of the Rostov transport Ring. The implementation of the project is one of the most important tasks of the region. The issues of financing the second stage of construction are currently being worked out. "The importance of this road cannot be overestimated. It takes out cargo flows, which is about 6 thousand trucks that move through the city. And in order to reduce the load, we must give them another corridor," Belikova stressed.

In addition, construction of the Orbitalnaya-2 highway is planned to begin next year. The project documentation has already been developed, and the purchase of land is underway.
