In September, the Jetour T1 model, a more compact analogue of the T2 model, will enter the Russian market. This was reported by Jetur Motor Rus in a press release received by Izvestia on August 6.

The new crossover continues the brutal off-road styling of the T2 crossover, which entered the Russian market in March 2024. T1 is compact in size and, as a result, will be more affordable.

The technical specifications of the Russian version in Jetur Motor Rus promise to be announced later, however, it is already known that T1 is 8 cm shorter than T2, but its wheelbase is one centimeter larger. The fifth door is not hinged, but lifting.

The Jetour T1 is 4,706 mm long with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm. Presumably, the Jetour T1 in the Russian Federation will have two variants of power plants. The initial version of this SUV will receive front-wheel drive and a 1.5—liter turbo engine, which in the version for the Chinese market develops 184 hp. The second engine has a displacement of 2.0 liters and a power of 254 hp. This T1 variant is equipped with a drive on both axles.

Earlier, Avito Auto experts said that the average price of a new car in the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) in Russia decreased by 4.8% in the second quarter compared to the same period last year and amounted to 3 million rubles.

Compared to the first quarter of this year, the average price of SUV segment models decreased by 3.5%, partly due to a change in the market supply structure. This has somewhat whetted interest and increased competition, analysts said.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
