Ushakov: the talks between Putin and Witkoff were constructive and useful

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Special Envoy of the President of the United States Stephen Witkoff held useful and constructive talks. This was announced on August 6 by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"Steve Witkoff was received by our president this morning. <...> A very useful and constructive conversation took place," he said.

According to Ushakov, during the meeting the parties discussed the topic of the Ukrainian crisis, as well as prospects for the possible development of Russian-American strategic cooperation.

Witkoff arrived in Moscow on the morning of August 6. His meeting with Putin took place on the same day, it lasted about three hours. Ushakov was also present during their dialogue.
