Starting from September 1, the list of contraindications for drivers will change in Russia.

In Russia, from September 1, 2025, a new list of medical indications and contraindications for drivers, published in April, will begin to operate.

According to the changes, disorders of general psychological development, including autism and Asperger's syndrome, have been added to the list of contraindications.

In the eye diseases section, the concept of achromatopsia will be replaced by an anomaly of color perception.

On July 31, the Ministry of Health denied the imminent digitization of driver's certificates. There are no plans to introduce changes in the procedure for organizing medical examinations of drivers and the form of a medical report from August 1 of this year. They will enter into force on March 1, 2027.
