The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the industrial zone of Energodar with the buildings of the nuclear power plant

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the territory of the industrial zone of Energodar, where the transport workshop and printing house of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) are located. This was announced on August 6 by the station's press service.

"The main consequences are broken windows in the buildings of the printing house and the transport department. Our services are already inspecting the territories to check if there are any other damages," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.

It is clarified that no one was injured due to the Ukrainian attacks, there is no threat to residents and the environment.

The press service emphasizes that at the moment the station continues to operate in the same mode.

Earlier, on August 2, a fire broke out on the territory of the NPP as a result of artillery shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Later it was reported that the fire was quickly localized due to the prompt actions of emergency rescue units.
