Putin's meeting with the US special Envoy ended three hours later.
The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President's Special envoy Steven Whitkoff has ended. This was announced on August 6 by the Kremlin's press service.
Witkoff's motorcade left the Kremlin, leaving the Borovitsky Gate. As specified, the conversation lasted about three hours. Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov was also present during the meeting.
Witkoff arrived in Moscow on the morning of August 6. According to the Izvestia source, Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of the President of Russia for cooperation with foreign countries, met him at Vnukovo airport. Later, Witkoff, accompanied by Dmitriev, visited Zaryadye Park in Moscow.
The United States Special Envoy last came to Moscow for talks on April 25, and before that, on April 11, to St. Petersburg. Putin held meetings with him both times. This is Witkoff's fifth visit to Russia since the beginning of the year.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed on August 4 that the bilateral dialogue between Moscow and Washington continues. He clarified that the United States also continues to make efforts to mediate in the search for ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
