Putin and the King of Malaysia continued negotiations over a state dinner
On August 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Malaysia's supreme ruler Sultan Ibrahim continued negotiations in an expanded format at a state dinner in the Faceted Chamber.
Earlier in the day, Ibrahim expressed admiration for the leadership qualities of the Russian president. He also recalled that diplomatic relations between Russia and Malaysia have been going on for almost 60 years, and also announced his intention to strengthen them.
At the same time, Vladimir Putin said at the meeting that Russia was grateful that Malaysia maintained bilateral relations with the country.
The Supreme Ruler of Malaysia arrived in Russia on a state visit on August 5. His plane landed at Vnukovo-2 airport. This is the first state visit of the Malaysian king to Russia.
