The King of Malaysia admired Putin's leadership qualities
The supreme ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin on August 6, expressed admiration for the leadership qualities of the Russian president.
"I admire your leadership skills. You have led your country through difficult times, through difficult times. At the same time, you proved yourself to be a significant statesman at a time when vision and resilience were needed," Sultan Ibrahim said.
The ruler of Malaysia recalled that diplomatic relations between Russia and Malaysia have been going on for almost 60 years, and also announced his intention to strengthen them.
Also during the talks, Sultan Ibrahim expressed his condolences to all the victims of the disaster in Kamchatka.
Earlier in the day, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Sultan Ibrahim that Russia was grateful that Malaysia maintained bilateral relations with the country.
The Supreme Ruler of Malaysia arrived in Russia on a state visit on August 5. His plane landed at Vnukovo-2 airport. This is the first state visit of the Malaysian king to Russia. Later, Putin met Sultan Ibrahim in the St. George's Hall of the Kremlin.
