The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has attacked a weapons production facility of the Palestinian Hamas movement. This was reported on August 6 by The Times of Israel newspaper with reference to the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

According to them, the strike was carried out on Tuesday, August 5. It is specified that the production facility is located in the Sheikh Radwan area of Gaza.

"According to the IDF, the 215th Artillery Regiment yesterday (August 5. — Ed.) fired at a firing position used by terrorists for mortar attacks on an army camp in northern Gaza," the publication says.

It is noted that there are no casualties. According to the military, an evacuation was announced to mitigate the damage. The publication clarified that the Israeli army used precision-guided munitions, aerial reconnaissance and other intelligence.

In particular, the IDF reported a drone strike on a cell of about 10 militants in the Daraj and Tuffa neighborhoods of the Gaza Strip. According to the Israeli army, in other areas of the city, the Hamas infrastructure has also been destroyed and the militants of the movement have been eliminated.

The Times of Israel newspaper reported on July 30 that two Palestinians were killed in an IDF strike at a humanitarian aid distribution point in the area of the Netzarim corridor in the Gaza Strip. It was clarified that several more people were injured.

Later, on August 4, the Ynet portal reported that the Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is preparing to approve a plan for the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip. According to sources, the leadership of the Jewish state intends to switch to active military operations throughout the Palestinian enclave.
