British Prince Andrew invited American financier Jeffrey Epstein to the United Grand Lodge of England (UML) at the Royal Ascot Horse Race, where Queen Elizabeth II was staying. This was reported by the Mirror newspaper on August 6.

"Prince Andrew welcomed Jeffrey Epstein to the royal box at Ascot Races — along with Her Majesty the Queen," the publication says.

It is clarified that the proof of this invitation was a photograph taken in June 2000 during the Royal Ascot races, it depicts Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell in the oval. Only members of the royal family and their guests had access there.

It is noted that this photo was later found during searches of Epstein's private home in Manhattan. According to the newspaper, Prince Andrew's decision to invite the financier caused even more damage to the reputation of the royal family.

Epstein committed suicide at a correctional center in New York in August 2019. A few months earlier, he had been arrested on charges of organizing sex trafficking and involving minors in prostitution. Prior to this, the prosecutor's office reported evidence that in 2002-2005, Epstein organized visits to his home in the New York borough of Manhattan for dozens of underage girls. In January 2024, the first part of the documents was published, containing the names of more than 150 people involved in the financier's case. Among them are former US President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

On July 19, US President Donald Trump asked the US Department of Justice to release all available evidence from the jury in the Epstein case. However, later, on July 23, the Florida court rejected this request, in connection with which Trump expressed his dissatisfaction on July 28. The US president was annoyed by the mistakes made by the White House in this matter.
