The Avito Services platform and the Tom Sawyer Fest — Heritage Charitable Foundation have launched a joint project to restore historical buildings in 11 Russian cities. This was reported in the press service of Avito.
It is noted that the project will bring together professionals and volunteers to restore significant facilities in cities such as Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Tver, Kaluga, Chelyabinsk, Tobolsk. The works will take place in ancient buildings, including an 18th-century manor house in Klyuksy, a school built in 1905 in Ipatovo, as well as in wooden houses erected in different historical periods. All the facilities are an important part of the tourist routes.
Specialists from the Avito Services platform will help to restore the foundation, roof, roofs and windows, replace crowns, install a drainage system. The performers will also help to assemble the mosaic panel that decorated the main entrance to the restaurant "Balkans", opened in 1967 in Rostov-on-Don. In the future, one of the oldest mosaics of the city will be installed in the center of the Don capital.
"It's not just about restoring the urban environment, it's about how we can all make cities better together. There are many talented people gathered on our platform, and it is not surprising that many of them have responded to the call to help restore cultural heritage. We are ready to invest in preserving the architectural heritage," said Svetlana Filimonova, Head of the Major Repairs and Construction business at Avito Services.
Anastasia Knor, Director of the Tom Sawyer Fest Charitable Foundation, emphasized that the partnership with Avito opens up new opportunities for restoring significant sites and drawing attention to the problem of preserving architectural heritage.
