Over the past day, 336 road accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 32 people were killed and 447 injured. This was reported to Izvestia on August 6 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. 26 of the dead were passengers and drivers, the ministry said.

As a result of 62 accidents, 24 of which occurred at pedestrian crossings and 38 outside their area of operation, 6 pedestrians were killed, and 61 more were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured were 13 child pedestrians, 6 of whom were injured when crossing the roadway outside the designated areas.

18 accidents involving buses were recorded, in which one person was killed, and 61 more road users, including seven children, required medical attention. Eight bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by drivers.

So, in the Tula region, on 227 km of the federal highway M-4 "Don", a 51-year-old bus driver, with 48 passengers in the cabin, was distracted from driving and crashed into a toll booth. After the collision, the bus overturned. As a result of the accident, 18 bus passengers were hospitalized with injuries, and the driver and 14 other passengers, including four children and teenagers aged five to seventeen, were sent for outpatient treatment after receiving medical treatment.

Over the past day, 50 accidents involving minors were registered on the roads of the Russian Federation, in which 56 young road users were injured, including 28 passengers, five cyclists and seven motor transport drivers. Two teenagers driving a car and a pit bike were killed.

In the Samara region, a 14-year-old teenager without a driver's license, having lost control of a passenger car, drove off the road at speed and overturned. The young driver was killed, and his 15-year-old friend, a passenger, was injured and sent for outpatient treatment.

In the Moscow region, a passenger car driver collided with a pit bike moving in front of him in the same direction, which is sports equipment and therefore is not equipped with external lighting devices. The motor vehicle was driven by a 15-year-old schoolboy in a motorcycle helmet, who, due to his age, had not previously been issued a driver's license. As a result of the accident, the teenager died.

The State Traffic Inspectorate urges parents not to allow children and teenagers to drive during the ongoing summer holidays. It is necessary to constantly conduct explanatory conversations with them about traffic regulations and the inadmissibility of driving motor vehicles without a driver's license, the traffic police remind.

"One of the main reasons for the increase in accidents among underage drivers is the lack of proper adult supervision. Parents often purchase equipment for their children themselves, such as mopeds or so-called pit bikes, which are prohibited from driving on public roads, forgetting to explain to them the basic rules of travel. In addition, the legal age for driving a particular vehicle is often ignored," said Police Colonel Anton Belan, Deputy head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child Traffic Injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

He recalled that driving a moped and scooter requires a driver's license with an open category "M". You can get it after studying at a driving school from the age of 16. At the same time, it is possible to travel on a moped on public roads only in a motorcycle helmet.

For driving a moped, scooter, motorcycle, or car without the appropriate license, a fine of 5-15 thousand rubles is provided, while the vehicle is delayed and placed in a specialized parking lot. In addition, the fine for transferring the right to drive a vehicle to a child is 30 thousand rubles. Their parents or legal representatives will be responsible for teenagers under the age of 16 who were driving vehicles, the State Traffic Inspectorate said.

On the eve of August 5, it became known that in Kazan, a van driver hit three teenagers crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.
