Average receipts for glass jars, lids for them, sealing machines and vinegar increased by 8% this year, according to the data available to Izvestia from the OFD Platform company.

What are the reasons and when can we expect a price reduction?

Glass jars were bought 9% more often this summer than last year, and lids - by 13%, according to the company's data. The demand for seaming machines was 6% higher than last year, and for vinegar — by 9%.

An average of 521 rubles were spent on cans, 367 rubles on lids, 981 rubles on sealing machines, and 193 rubles on vinegar. The average receipt for these positions was 8% higher than last year.

"This summer, Russians most often bought glass jars with a volume of 0.5 liters, 0.75 liters and 3 liters, more designed for jams and compotes. Last year, three—liter cans were not among the top purchases," the analysts noted.

The lids were most often chosen metal with gold varnishing in packs of 50 pieces. Of the sealing devices, snail machines with automatic and semi-automatic rollers turned out to be the most popular.
