The eighth Heritage Youth Forum will be held in Moscow from September 27 to November 22, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital. It will be attended by university and college students in 12 fields, including urban studies, history, sociology, and design. Novice specialists will be divided into interdisciplinary teams, where each will have a specific set of tasks.

"At the forum, young people will get acquainted with the process of preserving architectural monuments. In the competition part, the guys will offer ideas for the restoration and modern use of one of Moscow's cultural heritage sites," Sergunina said.

Teams from regions of Russia and friendly countries will be able to create projects for their cities, she noted.

Applications for participation in the competition program are already open. It is necessary to fill out the questionnaire on the forum's website by September 21 inclusive.

The students will receive lectures, master classes, and meetings with leading experts. In addition, students will have guided tours to architectural bureaus and large specialized companies.

The forum will also feature a business segment with plenary sessions and presentations by historians, urbanists, economists and other experts. The event will end with a festival with practical classes, quizzes, a job fair and film screenings.

The Forum has been held in Moscow since 2018. During this time, about 100 thousand people have become its participants.
