A suspect in a murder in the south-east of the capital was detained in Moscow.

A suspect in the murder of a man committed during the conflict in the south-east of Moscow has been detained. This was reported on August 5 in the Moscow Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

According to the investigation, on August 4, 2025, in an apartment building on Polbina Street, while drinking alcohol, two acquaintances had a conflict based on personal hostility. During the quarrel, one of the men stabbed the other at least once. The victim died on the spot from his injuries.

"The investigators of the capital's Investigative Committee and operational police officers identified and detained a suspect in the commission of the specified crime as soon as possible," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that in the near future the man will be taken to the investigative unit, where they will begin to carry out procedural actions with him.

The death of a man in the south-east of Moscow became known on August 4. A criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
