A woman died in an accident with children in the Tambov region.
On the 14th km of the Tambov-Penza highway, a passenger car and a KAMAZ truck collided, resulting in the death of a woman and two children hospitalized. This was announced on August 5 by the prosecutor's office of the Tambov region in its Telegram channel.
According to preliminary data, the woman, while driving a Kia Rio passenger car, lost control and collided with a KamAz truck. Her three children were in the car with her.
"As a result of the accident, a woman died on the spot, two young children were taken to a medical facility, a minor born in 2008 was not injured," the report says.
It is specified that the prosecutor of the Tambov region, Yuri Pluzhnikov, went to the scene of the incident.
"The Tambov District Prosecutor's Office is monitoring the establishment of all the circumstances of the accident, as well as the progress of the procedural check conducted on this fact," the department concluded.
Earlier in the day, it became known about the collision of a passenger bus with a concrete pillar at a payment point in the Tula region. It was noted that the accident occurred on the highway M-4 "Don". The bus was traveling on the Lugansk – Moscow route. The cause of the accident could be heavy fog on the road. The government of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has released footage of the incident.
Russian Assistant Minister of Health Alexei Kuznetsov later announced the hospitalization of 35 victims. He added that the condition of five people is currently assessed as serious. The rest are in a state of moderate severity.
