Ex-head of the social network X Iaccarino heads the company eMed
Former CEO of the social network X (formerly Twitter) Linda Iaccarino has been appointed head of eMed Population Health. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on August 5.
It is noted that the organization is a startup in the field of telemedicine, which specializes in the treatment of obesity and diabetes. According to the publication, despite his lack of experience in healthcare, Iaccarino has in-depth knowledge of brand partnerships and digital revenue growth.
It is clarified that during her time at NBCUniversal, she has modernized the global advertising business. In addition, the manager helped the social network X regain the trust of advertisers after the purchase of the platform by billionaire Elon Musk.
"There is an opportunity to combine technology, lifestyle and data in a powerful new format through digital channels that directly impact consumers in ways that have never been used before," Iaccarino said after her appointment.
eMed expects the company to accelerate its growth under such leadership.
Iaccarino announced her resignation on July 9. She called the period of her work at X incredible. She also thanked Musk for the trust he gave her in reorganizing the company.
Later, on July 13, the Financial Times newspaper cited the fact that they had not found a common language with Musk as the reason for Iaccarino's resignation. According to the publication, the American entrepreneur exerted pressure on her.
