In Tatarstan, an 11-year-old girl stabbed her brother with a kitchen knife after making a remark about an online game. This was announced on August 5 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the republic.

"On August 2, in the city of Menzelinsk, an 11-year-old girl attacked her brother, grandmother and sister with a kitchen knife. The boy died, the grandmother is in serious condition. It is noted that the girl reacted this way to a remark about an online game," the department's Telegram channel says.

The investigative authorities initiated a criminal case under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Murder") and part 3 of Article 30 of paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder of two persons"). Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, instructed Ruslan Sultanov, acting head of the republican department, to submit a report on the progress of the criminal investigation.

On April 14, a 29-year-old resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was detained in Kansk after she killed three of her children with an axe. A four-year-old girl and two boys aged seven months and eight years were killed. Later it became known that the woman is registered with a psychiatrist. Her husband was brought to administrative responsibility for beating his 7-year-old son.
