The Russian Football Union (RFU) has confirmed the holding of a friendly match between the national team of the country and the Jordanian team. This was announced on August 5 by the press service of the organization.

"The BetBoom match between the national teams of Russia and Jordan will be held on September 4," the RFU website says.

It is noted that Valery Karpin's team will play the match on its own field. The city and stadium will be announced later.

On June 6, Jordan's national team qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the first time. The players of the Arab state have guaranteed themselves a place at the World Cup after the Iraqi team lost to the South Koreans with a score of 0:2.
