About 300 people were detained in a hostel in the center of Moscow on suspicion of violating migration laws. This was announced on August 5 by the press service of the Russian Guard.

"About 300 illegal migrants were detained in Moscow during a preventive operation involving Rosgvardiya special forces," the agency said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that during the raid, the officers took the suspected violators to the police department.

On July 15, it was reported that 12 people in the Moscow Region were accused of organizing illegal migration and committing corruption crimes. They were brought before the court. In the period from 2022 to 2024, a resident of Balashikha headed an interethnic organized group of ten people specializing in organizing illegal migration of foreign citizens.
