The Interior Ministry warned about a new scheme of scammers with gifts in Telegram

Scammers use digital gifts on Telegram to covertly advertise prohibited content. This was announced on August 5 by the Department for the Organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Attackers give admins gifts with links to drug shops, casinos or extremist websites," the agency's Telegram channel says.

The Interior Ministry stressed that users can file a complaint with Roskomnadzor, after which the channel will be blocked. The department called on Russians to regularly view the tab with gifts and delete suspicious ones.
